BGMEA-BUFT Journalism Fellowship Award
An Award Ceremony has been organized named “BGMEA–BUFT Journalism Fellowship Award-2015” work on garment industry on 12th November 2016 at Noorul Quader Auditorium, BGMEA Complex, Kawran Bazar, Dhaka, Bangladesh. It has organized by Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA).
Mr. Tofail Ahmed, MP (Honorable Minister, Ministry of Commerce, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh) was present as a Chief Guest for BGMEA–BUFT Journalism Fellowship Award-2015. Prof. Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique (Vice Chancellor, Dhaka University) and Mr. Mozaffar Uddin Siddique (BUFT Trustee Board Chairman) were attended the program as Special Guests. Mr. Md. Siddiqur Rahman (President, BGMEA) was present there as a Chair. Mr. Faruque Hassan (Senior Vice President, BGMEA), Mr. SM Mannan -Kochi (Vice President, BGMEA), Mr. Mohammed Nasir (Vice President-Finance, BGMEA), Mahmud Hasan Khan – Babu (Vice President, BGMEA) and other former Presidents & Vice Presidents of BGMEA were present there.
Also, three Mentors of the BGMEA–BUFT Journalism Fellowship Mr. Monjurul Ahsan Bulbul (Editor-in-Chief of ETV), Mr. Shyamal Dutta (Editor, Daily Bhorer Kagoj) and Mr. Syed Ishtiaque Reza (Director, News of Ekattor TV) were present at the fellowship award ceremony.

Mr. Tofail Ahmed, MP handed over awards and cheques the Fellows. Mr. Md. Siddiqur Rahman (President, BGMEA) chaired the fellowship award giving ceremony and announced the names of the Fellows selected by a three-member Board of Mentors.
Six journalists have awarded BGMEA–BUFT Journalism Fellowship-2015 from Print Media, TV, Online and Radio. The Fellows are Ms. Nasrin Huda Bithi (Reporter, Voice of America – VOA), Mr. Ibrahim Hossain – Ovi (Staff Reporter, the Dhaka Tribune), Mr. Md. Mizanur Rahman Chowdhury (Senior Staff Reporter, Daily Jugantor), Mr. Reyad Hossain (Staff Reporter, Daily Ittefaq), Mr. Mehedy Hasan Albakar (Staff Reporter, ETV) and Mr. Md. Sharful Alam (Reporter, ATN Bangla).
