Grand Annual Expo DTG 2017
The Dhaka International Textile & Garment Machinery Exhibition (DTG), the largest-ever Textile & Garment fair of its kind in Bangladesh, will begin at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) in Dhaka from February 23, 2017. The four-day long DTG 2017, the grand annual expo, is being organized jointly by the Bangladesh Textile Mills Association (BTMA), Chan Chao International Co. Ltd, Taiwan and Yorkers Trade & Marketing Service Co. Ltd. aiming to create a common platform for facilitating the country’s Textile and apparel sector.
More than 1,000 exhibitors from 33 countries are expected to take part in the upcoming expo to showcase a variety of equipment, products, technologies as well as services and information concerning all the textile & garment processing and production aspects such as spinning, weaving, knitting, dyeing, printing, finishing, testing, washing, embroidery and sewing.
The participating countries are Austria, Bangladesh, Belgium, Brazil, China, Czech, Denmark, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Netherland, Pakistan, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, Vietnam and the United States.
Since its first edition in 2004, the DTG has kept its expansion. This year, over 1,200 booths in 18 halls have already been booked by exhibitors to showcase their latest products and accessories. The fairground will be expanded this year to include the ‘Celebrity Hall’ for the first time. The Hall, located on the ground floor of BICC, will be used to highlight high-end overseas apparel fabrics and accessories brands.

Over the past few years, Bangladesh has witnessed and greatly benefited from rapid development of the export-oriented RMG & textile industry. The country has become the world’s second apparel exporter after China, with the readymade garment sector contributing over 13 per cent to its gross domestic product (GDP). Since its inception, the DTG has been renowned for its high turnout of international exhibitors and trade visitors. It is widely seen as a must-visit, leading textile and garment machinery fair in Bangladesh.
