BGMEA Leaders Call on Honorable Prime Minister

BGMEA leaders paid a courtesy call on Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her office in Dhaka on 17 January.

The BGMEA team led by its President Md. Siddiqur Rahman appraised the Honorable Prime Minister of the problems and prospects of the RMG industry.

They said that BGMEA has been working to achieve the target of US$50 billion in 2021 when Bangladesh would celebrate the 50th anniversary of her Independence.

The BGMEA leaders thanked the Prime Minister for her government’s support for development of the apparel sector. They sought further cooperation from the government to achieve the goal since it would contribute to the overall development of Bangladesh.

BGMEA First Vice President Moinuddin Ahmed (Mintu), Senior Vice President Faruque Hassan, Vice President SM Mannan (Kochi), Vice President (Finance) Mohammed Nasir, Vice President Mahmud Hasan Khan (Babu), Vice President Md. Ferdous and BGMEA Directors were present on the occasion.

Former BGMEA Presidents Tipu Munshi, MP, Md. Shafiul Islam (Mohiuddin), Anwar-ul-Alam Chowdhury Parvez and Md. Atiqul Islam were also present there.
