Dhaka Apparel Summit – 2017 is Going to Open

A press conference has been held on 19 February 2017 at Apparel Club, Complex, 23/1 Pantha Path, Link Road, Kawran Bazar, Dhaka, Bangladesh for the second edition of Dhaka Apparel Summit – 2017.

The Summit has been organized by Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) and in collaboration with Bangladesh Apparel Exchange (BAE).

Mr. Md. Siddiqur Rahman (President, BGMEA) was present there as a Chair. Mr. Faruque Hassan (Senior Vice President, BGMEA), Mr. SM Mannan -Kochi (Vice President, BGMEA), Mr. Mohammed Nasir (Vice President-Finance, BGMEA), Mr. Mahmud Hasan Khan – Babu (Vice President, BGMEA), Mr. Moinddin Ahmed (First Vice President, BGMEA), Mr. M. A, Sabur (Chairman, United Commercial Bank Ltd.), Mr. Md. Mohiuddin Rubel (Director, BAE) and others were present there.

The event is aimed to be a platform, establishing greater interactions and collaborations amongst stakeholders from home and abroad, with a common goal of ensuring sustainable growth within the Bangladesh RMG industry.

The second edition of the Summit will take place on the 25th of February. It will follow a

massive transformation in Bangladesh workplace safety. Ready-made garment (RMG) industry is now entering a new era, promising a brighter future in the sector. Bangladesh is now ready to explore future possibilities amongst the opportunities and challenges facing.

The suggestions that will be made by panel of experts and industry professionals at the 2nd Dhaka Apparel Summit will provide wise guidelines for setting up the priorities in order to achieve a sustainable RMG industry.
