Hossain Khaled Re-elected President, DCCI
Hossain Khaled has been re-elected as President of Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) for the year 2016. Humayun Rashid has also been re-elected as Senior Vice President and K. Atique-e-Rabbani, FCA has been elected as Vice President of DCCI for the year 2016.
The new Board of Directors took over charge at the 54th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of DCCI at its Auditorium held on December 12, 2015.
The newly elected Directors for the term 2016-18 are Kamrul Islam, FCA, Mamun Akbar, Md. Alauddin Malik, Riyadh Hossain and Salim Akhter Khan.
Hossain Khaled, the re-elected President of DCCI, is a BBA in Accounting from University of Toledo, Ohio, USA and an MBA in International Banking from Texas A&M University, Texas, USA. Hossain Khaled is the Chairman of Bangladesh Finance and Investment Co. Ltd. and City Brokerage Limited. He is also the Vice Chairman of BD Finance Capital Holdings Ltd. and BD Finance Securities Ltd. He is the Managing Director of Anwar Group of Industries, AG Automobiles Ltd. and Anwar Jute Spinning Mills Ltd. He is also the Director of The City Bank Limited. He was the President of DCCI during the year of 2007, 2008 and 2015. He was also the Senior Vice President of DCCI during the year of 2006 and Vice President during the year of 2002 & 2003. Hossain Khaled is one of the leading industrialists in Bangladesh.
Humayun Rashid, the re-elected Senior Vice President of DCCI is the Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Energypac Power Generation Ltd. (EPGL). Humayun Rashid is also the Director of Energypac Engineering Ltd. He also served as a President of France-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Vice President of International Business Forum of Bangladesh (IBFB), Member of Army Golf Club; Gulshan Club, President of Rotary Club of Dhaka North. He obtained his Bachelor Degree from the University of Dhaka in the year 1982. He also attended training programs on Entrepreneurship development, Retail Product Marketing, Occupational Hazard and Safety both at home and abroad. He was the Senior Vice President of DCCI during the year 2015.
K. Atique-e-Rabbani, FCA is the Managing Director of “The Computers Limited, Bangladesh and Principal of Atique Rabbani Consulting. He was born in 1954 in a respected Muslim family. He has completed his B Tech Honours Degree in Statistics from University of Bradford, UK in the year 1979. He got his Chartered Accountant (CA) degree from the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Bangladesh (ICAB) in 1989. He is the International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) certificate holder of ICAB. K. Atique-e-Rabbani is also the Vice President of Institute of Internal Auditors Inc., USA (Bangladesh Chapter), Member of ICT Committee, ICAB. He was also the Treasurer and Secretary of BASIS and Bangladesh Computer Samity during 1997-1999. He was also the Director of DCCI during the year 2002-2004. Mr. Rabbani represented various organizations in various seminars and conferences held in USA, Germany, Geneva, UK and participated different training course on IT.
