MoU Signing BEZA and BIEZL
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between Bangladesh Economic Zone Authority (BEZA) and Bashundhara Group to lease out 500 acres of land in favor of the ‘Bashundhara Industrial Economic Zone Limited (BIEZL)’ on 24 July 2017 in Grand Ball Room, Radisson Blue, Dhaka, Bangladesh.
A target has been designed to set up 100 new economic zones for socio-economic advancement and creating 10 million fresh employments in the years to come. To full fill the target Bangladesh Economic Zone Authority (BEZA) has signed a MoU with Bashundhara Group to lease out 500 acres of land in favor of a private economic zone named ‘Bashundhara Industrial Economic Zone Limited’. The Bashundhara Industrial Economic Zone Limited is an associate entity of the Bashundhara Group, leading industrial and business conglomerate in the country. Cutting edge industrial facilities including a state-of-the-art pulp and board manufacturing plant would be built at the under developed industrial economic zone at an estimated investment of US $ 488 million. The facilities would likely to create 10 thousand employment opportunities in both forms – directly and indirectly.
